I stopped into The Understudy in Chicago one October morning before meeting with a design client. Coffee in hand, my eyes lingered over a few titles on the shelf. I pulled Adam J. Kurtz’ book down and read his encouragement: “Start with one page at a time, and you’ll be surprised at just how much you can create.”

Feeling weary from our social climate, war and my own relentless ambition, I felt immense relief in an additional tool to pull me from my depths with the added satisfaction of creating something daily during my private life’s intangible work.

So here’s me, the me of right now.

With profound peace,
Elizabeth
